CHELSEA — Chelsea baseball players Hunter Howard, Casey Ballenger and Landon Wylie signed scholarships to play collegiately on Jan. 17. Howard will play for Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn., while Wylie will play at Marion Military Institute and Ballenger will play for the Huntingdon Hawks of Montgomery.

Head coach Michael Stallings said each program was not only getting a strong player, but a strong clubhouse presence as well.

“They’re getting leaders,” he said. “Guys that have an extra hard work ethic. They live for baseball.”

The seniors will lead the Hornets in the Lead Off Tournament, starting Feb. 17.
