FROM STAFF REPORTS

HOOVER — The city of Hoover will shred residents’ confidential documents free of charge during Shred Day Saturday March 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All personal documents will be shredded on-site by a certified Cintas employee at 100 Corporate Pkwy., located on U.S. 280 southbound between Valleydale Road and Cahaba Valley Road. The area will be clearly visible with traffic coordinators posted for efficiency.

From drop-off to destruction, all documents will be monitored and protected.  A closed circuit video camera inside the shredder will allow residents to see their documents as they are being destroyed. There is no need to remove paper clips, rubber bands or staples prior to shredding.

The on-site shredding limit is six boxes per person. For more information, visit hooverlabama.gov.
