Dorothy “Jackie” Shores, age 83 of Alabaster, passed away Feb. 17, 2014.
Her survivors include her husband of 47 years, John Ruskin Shores; daughters, Cathie Hoover, Debbie Franklin and Susan Mendz; Step-daughter, Kathy Ksaibati; step-son, Kirk Shores; brother, Darrell Oard; sister, Jalene Deleo; niece, Rebecca Liebman; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members.
A visitation was held Feb. 24, from 1-2 p.m. with a memorial service that followed at 2 p.m., both were at Charter Funeral Home.  Brother Lance Lee officiated. Charter Funeral Home directed.
