Lynn Wilkins ran three marathons last year.

And she was happy to keep going.

“I have kind of an obsessive personality, but my husband was afraid I was becoming antisocial,” Wilkins, a stay-at-home mom, said with a laugh.

Her husband, Scott, suggested she try something new — tennis.

She thought about it — and decided to enroll her seventh grade daughter, Alex, in lessons at Pelham Racquet Club instead.

“I hadn’t held a racquet in 20 years,” said Wilkins, who said she had played for a year while in high school. “But then I watched my daughter’s lesson, and I immediately signed up for a lesson, too.”
