Organizers of Shelby County’s largest festival are gearing up for the event’s 12th anniversary this year, and are seeking companies and organizations interested in sponsoring and setting up vendor booths at the event.

Event organizers have not yet announced the event’s headline musical performers, but past acts have included Josh Turner, Eve 6, Lonestar and Diamond Rio.

“We have the bands nailed down already, and we should have an announcement on that in the next couple of weeks,” Alabaster Arts Council President Adam Moseley said during a March 26 interview, noting the lineup will include well-known country and rock headliners.

CityFest, which will be held at Alabaster’s Municipal Park all day on Saturday, June 7, is Shelby County’s largest free event. In 2013, more than 55,000 people attended the event, and more than 70,000 have attended in past years, according to Moseley.

Those interested in becoming a sponsor or a vendor at the event should visit Alabastercityfest.com and click on the “Vendors” or “Sponsors” tabs at the top of the page for more information.

“We usually fill up with vendors and have to turn people away,” Moseley said. “So we encouraged people to sign up early.”

In addition to musical performances on multiple stages throughout the day, CityFest also includes hundreds of vendors, family entertainment, a cruise-in car show and a child-friendly KidsFest area.
