A grand jury indicted Steven Christopher Kelban on 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography on Feb. 27, according to Shelby County Circuit Court documents. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges on April 8 at 8:30 a.m.

Kelban, who previously listed an address on Independence Drive in Alabaster in court documents, now lists a Catonsville, Md., address.

Kelban was booked into the Shelby County Jail on Sept. 24, 2013. He was arrested by the Alabama Department of Public Safety on Sept. 24.

According to Kelban’s arrest warrant, he allegedly “did knowingly possess any obscene matter containing a visual depiction of a person under the age of 17 years of age engaged in any act of sado-machoistic abuse, sexual intercourse, sexual excitement, masturbation, genital nudity or other sexual conduct” on Aug. 30, 2013.

Kelban allegedly possessed sexually explicit webcam footage of an underage female, according to court documents.

He has remained in the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $500,000 since his arrest.

Possession of child pornography is a Class C felony. If convicted, Kelban could face up to 10 years in prison per charge.
