Mickey Charles Bryan, age 54, passed away at his home surrounded by his friends and family on March 27, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. Mickey was a beloved brother and uncle, was dedicated to his family and influenced many people’s lives. He had a caring, loving heart and was admired by all that knew him. Mickey was also a devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan, loved spending time at the beach and caring for animals at the Shelby County Humane Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Louise and Charles Luther Bryan; and two brothers, Ricky Wayne Brown and David Daniel Brown. Mickey is survived by his siblings, Billy Brown (Cindy) of Cullman, Joe Brown of Cullman, Geraldine Scott (Craig) of Sterling Heights, Mich., Doris Elouise Smothers of Cullman, Beatrice Bainbridge (Michael) of Pelham, Joy Patterson (Charlie) of Cullman and Mary Lou Rickman of Cullman; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on April 5 from 1-4 p.m. at 2654 Chandalar Lane, Pelham, AL 35124. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations to be made Shelby County Humane Society or the Big Oak Ranch, in honor of Mickey.
