A 24-year-old Alabaster man is being held in the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $20,000 after he was charged with allegedly selling crack cocaine in the city in 2013.
The Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force arrested Adam Christopher Carter, whose address is listed in the Woodbrook Place apartment complex of Alabama 119 in Alabaster, on April 6 and charged him with two felony counts of distribution of a controlled substance.
According to his arrest warrants, Carter allegedly distributed crack cocaine in the 600 block of Colonial Promenade Parkway on Sept. 19, 2013, and in the 9700 block of Alabama 119 in Alabaster on Sept. 20, 2013.
Distribution of a controlled substance is a Class B felony, according to Alabama law. If convicted of the crimes, Carter could face between two and 20 years in prison per charge.
