COLUMBIANA—Angelia Robin Whitman, 48, was arrested April 6 after she did allegedly “unlawfully sell, furnish, or give away, manufacture, deliver or distribute” suboxone, a schedule-three opiate, by providing “Bibles containing suboxone strips to Shelby County Jail inmates,” according to court documents.

Whitman, whose address is listed in the 100 black of Ridgemoor Drive in Homewood, was charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and conspiracy to promote prison contraband.

Whitman was released on bonds totaling $20,000 April 7, and is set to appear before Judge Dan Reeves May 21.
