MONTEVALLO—The Student Publications Committee at the University of Montevallo recently announced the selection of editors of UM’s student newspaper, yearbook, and arts and literary magazine for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Alexis Duncan, of Huntsville, was named editor of The Tower, Montevallo’s arts and literary magazine. Duncan, a graduate of New Century Technology High School and a senior at UM, is majoring in English literature. She served on the staff of The Tower as editor of the prose section during the 2013-2014 academic year.

Christopher Reed Strength, of Fairhope, was selected editor of The Alabamian, UM’s student newspaper. Strength, a graduate of Murphy High School, is in his third year at Montevallo and is majoring in mass communication with a concentration in journalism. He served as a writer on the staff of The Alabamian during his freshman year and as managing editor during his sophomore year.

Rebecca White, of Pinson, was chosen editor of Montage, Montevallo’s yearbook. White, a graduate of Clay-Chalkville High School and a junior at UM, is majoring in art with a concentration in graphic design. She has served as layout editor on the staff of Montage for the past two academic years.
