Della Smith Howell, age 74, of Columbiana, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on May 28 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Rev. Wayne Horton officiating. Burial is to follow at Ryan Crossing Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on May 27 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her husband, Hubbert Howell; daughter, Alice Fay Howell; and son-in-law, Leonard Walters.

Mrs. Howell is survived by her son, Van Howell (Myra) of Columbiana; daughters: Joyce Robinson (Wendell) of Columbiana, Peggy Walters of Columbiana and Mary Ann Roland (Billy) of Childersburg; brothers, Charles “Bo” Smith of Montevallo and Wayne Smith (Sally) of Arlington, Calif.; sisters, Nelta J. Swaney (Gordon) of Dunnellon, Fla., and Jean Smith Stone of Calera; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
