Ophelia Roebuck Wyatt, age 84, of Harpersville, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on June 3 at First United Methodist Church in Childersburg with Rev. Mahlon Felkins and Rev. Amy Parson Vaughn officiating. Burial is to follow in Harpersville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on June 2 at First United Methodist Church in Childersburg.

Mrs. Wyatt was born in Birmingham on Jan. 1, 1930, to the late James Gregory Roebuck Jr. and Frances Childs Roebuck. Ophelia graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1948. She married the late Emmett Douglas Wyatt on Nov. 19, 1950. Ophelia was a loving wife, mother and farmer. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Childersburg.

Mrs. Wyatt is survived by three children, Donald Emmett Wyatt of Birmingham, Ronald Douglas Wyatt (Cindy) of Dothan and Richard Terry Wyatt (Karen) of Childersburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Douglas Johnson Wyatt, Lauren Wyatt Naile, Allison Wyatt Lynch, Rachel Wyatt Holland and Alana Wyatt Steppe. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Hudson Bryant Naile, Elisabeth James Naile and Katie Grace Holland.
