Charles E. “Bob” Bailey, age 87, of Wilton, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on June 6 at Bolton Funeral Home. Burial was to follow in Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation was from 1-2 p.m. on June 6 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Mr. Bailey loved to go fishing and hunting. He loved to play the guitar and sing. Mr. Bailey also wrote a song called My Baby’s Gone and was sold to the Wilbur Brothers and they recorded it. He also played with the Buck Owen’s Band.

Mr. Bailey survived by his son, John Bailey (Cindy) of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, John and Jennifer Bailey; special companion, Sylvia Smitherman; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
