Harpersville man charged with attempted murder

HARPERSVILLE – A 34-year-old Harpersville man is facing a felony attempted murder charge after allegedly firing a handgun at a victim in June.



The Harpersville Police Department arrested Rodney Tremaine Posey, who lists an address in the 100 block of Brooklyn Lane in Harpersville, on July 6 on one count of attempted murder.

According to his arrest warrant, Posey allegedly shot a 9-millimeter handgun at another man in Harpersville on June 14.

Attempted murder is a Class A felony. If convicted, Posey could face up to life in prison. As of July 7, Posey did not have an upcoming court date listed.
