PELHAM—Sometimes moms just need a night of fun. This is exactly what Shelby County Moms Guide’s Moms Mingle event is all about.

“This is our first ever event by Shelby County Moms Guide,” Jessica Barnhill, special events coordinator at Shelby County Moms Guide, said. “We wanted to do something to give back to the community and do something fun for the moms that have been so loyal to us.”

Hosted at Easy Street Resale in Pelham from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on July 26, the night will feature pampering, shopping, food, drink and music, and all to benefit a good cause. A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to Miracle Makers of Children’s Hospital.

“It’s a worthy and respectable cause,” Barnhill said of the Miracle Makers program and Children’s Hospital, noting it is “near and dear” as many of the event’s attendees will be mothers.

Throughout the night, attendees will be able to shop and browse clothing and jewelry from “unique local boutiques,” eat food provided by local vendors and sip a mamatini, the night’s “signature cocktail,” Barnhill explained, adding “every ticket will receive one” mamatini.

There will also be a number of giveaways donated by local businesses, including gift certificates from This is Bliss, Fireflies and Fairytales and Canales Orthodontics, a $600 certificate for a living will from Aaron Law Firm, among many others. Barnhill said 25 attendees will also receive “swag bags” filled with items from local businesses.

“It has been so generous,” Barnhill said of the response from local vendors. “We’ve just had all sorts of people reaching out to donate something.”

Barnhill stressed that Moms Mingle is not just for mothers, it is a “ladies’ night out” with an “intimate atmosphere” and is “open to any local ladies.” Tickets are available online at Shelbycounty.momsguidealabama.com.
