ALABASTER – Alabaster’s Kids First Awareness Community Center will use a $1,000 grant from Cadence Bank to purchase new computers and technology for its students.

Cadence Bank Vice President and Compliance Officer Angela Moseley presented the check to Kids First Assistant Director Jennifer Gabel on July 24.

“We will use this to purchase technology for the kids that they can’t get at home,” Gabel said, noting the computers will be used for learning purposes at the center for at-risk students in Alabaster.

“We applaud the efforts of Kids First and the hard work of their staff and volunteers who are making a difference every day in the lives of children and families in the Alabaster community, Moseley wrote in a press release. “At Cadence, we strongly believe in being an active, responsible corporate citizen and putting our money into action.

“By supporting worthwhile organizations like Kids First, we are helping to make a profound difference in local communities,” Moseley wrote. “We hope this gift strengthens their ability to serve even more children and families in need.”
