ALABASTER – A 41-year-old Alabaster woman is facing multiple felony theft charges after she allegedly stole several bank deposits from a local convenience store.

The Alabaster Police Department arrested Kitina Ann Pritchett, who lists an address in the 100 block of Greenbriar Trace in Alabaster, on July 30 and charged her with felony counts of first-degree theft of property from a bank institution and second-degree theft of property. She was released from the Shelby County Jail after posting bonds totaling $45,000 the same day she was arrested.

According to her arrest warrants, Pritchett allegedly “knowingly obtained or exerted unauthorized control over” four bank deposits belonging to the Cannon Oil Quick Stop between July 28-29.

The four bank deposits carried a total value of $4,776.51.

Pritchett is scheduled to appear in the Shelby County Courthouse for a hearing in front of Circuit Court Judge Dan Reeves on Aug. 27 at 8:30 a.m.

According to Alabama law, first-degree theft of property from a bank institution is a Class B felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison upon conviction. Second-degree theft is a Class C felony carrying a sentence of up to 10 years upon conviction.
