PELHAM—A Jasper woman was arrested on charges of distribution of marijuana, possession of Ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater on Aug. 2.

Ivey Marie Hyde, 21, was apprehended by the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force at 1000 Amphitheater Drive during an Aug. 2 concert by rock band Phish, Lt. Kevin Turner of the SCDETF confirmed.

“She was for sure selling marijuana,” Turner said, noting Hyde was in possession of 4.7 grams of marijuana. She was also allegedly in possession of “some prescription medications,” including suboxone, Turner confirmed.

According to arrest warrants, Hyde “did…unlawfully possess MCMA/Ecstasy,” “did…unlawfully sell, furnish, give away, deliver or distribute… marijuana” and was in possession of a scale used for measuring drugs.

Additionally, Turner said Hyde was allegedly in possession of an “unknown white substance” that was “recovered from the jail,” resulting in the promotion of prison contraband charge.

Hyde was placed in the Shelby County Jail on Aug. 2 and released on Aug. 3 on an $8,500 bond.

Distribution of a controlled substance is a Class B felony, possession of a controlled substance and promotion of prison contraband are both Class C felonies and possession of drug paraphernalia is a Class A misdemeanor. If convicted of all four charges, Hyde could face up to 41 years in prison.

Hyde is scheduled to appear in front of Judge Dan Reeves for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 10 at 8:30 a.m.
