COLUMBIANA—Columbiana Public Library will be the site of the first in a six-part entrepreneurial success series organized by Renasant Bank in the greater Birmingham area.

The series seeks to “help small businesses succeed,” according to a news release from the bank. The event is co-sponsored by Birmingham Public Library System and Trudy Phillips Consulting. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

“This free series is part of Renasant Bank’s continuing commitment to further the success of small business owners and entrepreneurs in our area,” Tracey Morant Adams, senior vice president small business and community development director for Renesant Bank said in the release. “We are pleased to provide valuable tools and insight to help our local community businesses thrive and flourish.”

The session at the Columbiana Public Library will be held on Aug. 21 from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. The session will cover networking, building relationships, sales and customers and will be led by Gaynelle Jackson and Trudy Phillips.

“(The event) is an entrepreneurial workshop to help business minded people succeed,” Columbiana Library Director Dutcha Lawson said. “We were glad to be able to provide the space.”

The series is free and open to the public. To register online for the event, visit Movetogreaterservice.com/smallbiz.
