The Evangel Christian Lightning dropped a close contest on the road to Victory Christian out of Columbus, Miss., 34-32.

Mason Murphy led the Lightning on the ground with 117 yards, while Andrew Thompson was 9-of-18 passing for 150 yards and an interception. Micah Murphy posted 10 solo tackles in the contest.
