While they put up a strong fight early, the Kingwood Christian Lions dropped their second game of the season to the Bessemer Academy Rebels, 46-6.

The game started out as a defensive struggle, with neither team scoring until the second quarter. The Rebels scored 16 unanswered in the quarter, while both teams scored six points apiece in the third.

The Rebels added 24 in the fourth to take the 46-6 win.

The Lions will travel to Glenwood on Sept. 12.
