PELHAM—Are you looking forward to fall? Stop by the Pelham Library to get in the fall spirit. The library is gearing up for cooler weather with seasonal book selections and programs.

The library has numerous spooky books perfect for Halloween, featuring “Halloween: The Best of Martha Steward Living” to help with everything from baking the perfect holiday treats to throwing a Halloween party.

The Pelham Public Library will also host author, paranormal investigator and Chelsea resident Kim Johnston for a storytelling and book signing on Oct. 25 at 2 p.m.

Johnston is the author of “Haunted Shelby County, Alabama,” which recounts stories and legends about various haunted locations across Shelby County. Johnston also founded Spirit Communications and Research of Alabama, a paranormal research group that helps people identify and deal with paranormal activity.

“She’s going to be taking tales out of her book and talking about hauntings in Shelby County,” Pelham Library Adult Services Coordinator David Smith said.
