MT LAUREL – October at Mt Laurel Elementary will be Math Parenting Month.  During specified days during the month of October, parents will be invited to Mt Laurel to learn more about math as it is taught in their child’s classroom.

Each grade level will have its own Math Parenting Day.  The grade levels designated day will begin with an informational meeting that is led by a Shelby County Math Specialist/AMSTI Representative.

Following the informational meeting, the parents will visit their child’s classroom where they will be able to observe their child actively engaged in a math lesson. Parents are then encouraged to join their child for a delicious lunch prepared by Mt Laurel’s wonderful cafeteria staff.

Please make plans to join Mt Laurel Elementary for your child’s designated Math Parenting Day during the month of October.

 Math Parenting Dates

Kindergarten: Oct. 14 at 11:30 a.m.

First Grade: Oct. 15 at 11 a.m.

Second Grade: Oct. 16 at 10:30 a.m.

Third Grade (with the exception of Mrs. Holland’s class): Oct. 23 at 9:45 a.m.

Fourth Grade (with Mrs. Holland’s class): Oct. 27at 9:30 a.m.

Fifth grade is Oct. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
