James Milton Carden, age 94, of Clanton died Tuesday, Oct. 7. He was born on Friday, Feb. 6, 1920, in Shelby Co., Ala. He is the son of the late Jim Carden and the late Ida Lee Atchison Carden. He worked in Maintenance at Sears.

Surviving are his sister, Betty Weldon of Birmingham, AL; many cousins, nieces, & nephews.

Friends will be received from 12-1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating. Martin Funeral home is directing.
