Steven Christopher Kelban, who lists an address in the 6200 block of Chesworth Road in Catonsville, Md., and previously listed an address on Independence Drive in Alabaster, is now scheduled to appear for a hearing at the Shelby County Courthouse on Dec. 2 at 8:30 a.m.

He originally was scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 30, but his court date was continued as the result of an agreement between the defense and prosecuting attorneys.

A grand jury indicted Steven Christopher Kelban on 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography on Feb. 27.

According to Kelban’s arrest warrant, he allegedly “did knowingly possess any obscene matter containing a visual depiction of a person under the age of 17 years of age engaged in any act of sado-machoistic abuse, sexual intercourse, sexual excitement, masturbation, genital nudity or other sexual conduct” on Aug. 30, 2013.

Kelban allegedly possessed sexually explicit webcam footage of an underage female, according to court documents.

Possession of child pornography is a Class C felony. If convicted, Kelban could face up to 10 years in prison per charge.
