Flora Goggins Boothe, age 96, of Montevallo, passed away Nov. 17.
She was a member of Dogwood Grove Baptist Church, and she loved her family beyond measure.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Cecil Boothe; sisters, Elsie Vernon (Curtis) of Bay Minette and Louise Lutz (Johnny) of Dogwood; brothers, Floyd Allen (Eloise) of Brantlyville, Willie B. Allen, Jr. (Shirley) of Dogwood, and Joe Allen (Faye) of Centreville.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Allen (Lloyd) of Montevallo, Shelby J. Harkins (Howard) of Montevallo, Janice Goggins (Lewis) of Brierfield and Dottie Houlditch (Jamie) of Montgomery; sons, James Ray Boothe (Gail) of Calera; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Her celebration of life will be held Thursday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). Visitation will begin at noon. Burial will follow at Ryan Cemetery with Greg Sellers and David Farry officiating.
