Diane Link, age 63, of Columbiana, passed away on Friday, Nov. 21.
She was a weather observer for the National Weather Service for over 15 years in the state of Texas. She was employed with CASA and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. She was awarded the silver Spur Award for her extensive volunteer work with the 4-H Club and was employed with the US Department of Agriculture, all in Dallam and Hartley Counties in Texas. She retired from the State of Alabama Disability Determination Service due to her declining health.
The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 24 at The Connection Church with Pastor Greg Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 24 at The Connection Church. Burial will be at Hubbard Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana, directing.
Mrs. Link is survived by her husband, Tom Link; son, Chris Hardy (Samantha); daughter, Vickie Wing; granddaughters, Chyna Wing and Shelana Hardy; grandson, C.J. Hardy; sister, Brenda Wilson (Roger); nieces, Ginger Sims (Grant) and Shelly Champion (Jeff), nephews, Jackie Lee (Deanna) and Jason Lee (Nikki); a special yorkie, Cricket; numerous great nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
