PELHAM—Carly’s Clubhouse is up and running online. The non-profit organization launched its website, Carlysclubhouse.org, on Nov. 25.

The website is the centralized location for all information about the all-inclusive playground project, including ways to donate, sponsorship opportunities and upcoming events. Individuals or businesses can also purchase engraved fence pickets that will enclose the playground through the new website.

“Visitors can print off volunteer forms and picket order forms. They can see the design of the playground and they can read more about the story behind Carly’s Clubhouse,” Dustin Chandler, project organizer, said. “All the important information is going to come through this website.”

Created by custom playground company Leathers and Associates, the design for Carly’s Clubhouse was inspired by drawings created by Pelham children. The 30,000-square-foot playground will feature all fully accessible equipment, allowing typical and special needs children to play together equally, including a zip line and merry-go-round.

The plan for the playground is available on the Carly’s Clubhouse website, and Chandler said he expects to unveil a 3-D rendering in the coming weeks.

The project’s budget is $800,000, all of which will be raised through community donations. A kickoff fundraiser will be held at 6 p.m. on Jan. 24, 2015 at the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena.

Called “The King of Rock and Roll meets the Queen of Soul,” the family-friendly event will feature music from an Elvis impersonator and Aretha Franklin impersonator.

“That’s going to be our first organized fundraiser,” Chandler said. “That’s just going to be a fun night. Children are welcome to come.”
