Leroy Jenkins, age 79, of Calera, died Friday, Nov. 28.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3 at Bolton Funeral Home- Shelby Memory Gardens. Burial will follow Bolton Funeral Home- Shelby Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at Shelby Memory Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
Mr. Jenkins was retired from ABC Rail. He was a Navy and Air Force veteran. He will be remembered as a very hard worker and a strong man who will be missed dearly. Mr. Jenkins is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jenkins and a son, Monty Jenkins.
He is survived by his son, Tony Walker; grandson, Jordan Jenkins; daughter in law, Christy Jenkins; granddaughter, Sarah Jenkins; granddaughter, Katilyn Jenkins; son, John Wayne Jenkins; daughter, Joy Jenkins. He is also survived by three siblings, five other grandkids and very good friends: James Glass, Randy Hatcher, Michael Glass and Danny Glass.
