Warrior wrestling wins dual over Hoover

HOOVER – Hoover High School coach by Jacob Gaydosh and Thompson High School coached by Shawn Weltzin squared off in a dual of two of the top teams in Class 7A in wrestling on Dec. 10 at Hoover High School.

In this dual, there were three individual state champions competing from Thompson: Junior Riley Pike at 138, junior TJ Rayam at 285 and senior Jackson Hall from Hoover. All were victorious by pin fall.

Thompson won the match by a final score of 51 – 27.

106-pound division: Patterson Huff (Hoover) over Sam Latona (Thompson) 10-3 decision.

 

113-pound division: Gabe Hixenbaugh (Thompson) over Gage Camp (Hoover) 5-0 decision.
