Authorities found Juan Manuel Rodriguez, 41, trapped under his vehicle on Four J Road at about 9 a.m., according to a Shelby County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chelsea Fire and Rescue and the Shelby County Coroner’s Office also responded to the call.

Investigators determined Rodriguez had been working on the vehicle outside when it began rolling, and as he attempted to stop it, the vehicle ran over Rodriguez, trapping him underneath.

The preliminary investigation indicates Rodriguez’s death was accidental.
