B.A. Adams

B.A. “Pop” Adams, age 68, of Ashville, passed away Monday, Dec. 22, in Birmingham.

Adams was an active member and former deacon of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church. He was retired as Chief Jailer with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.L. and Christine Adams, and by two brothers, Ralph Adams and Billy Ray Adams.

His survivors include wife Janice Adams; daughters Sonia Seales (Dennis), Amanda Graves (Chris); son, Eddie Adams (Krystle); sisters Alma Gay (Larry), Brenda Davis, and was loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 26, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 27 at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City with Dr. Michael Barber and the Rev. Travis Webster officiating.

Burial will be in Shelby Memory Gardens.
