James “Buddy” Lowery, age 78, of Shelby, died Wednesday, Dec. 31.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 4 at Bolton Funeral Home with Bro. Joel Miller and Bro. Ronnie Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Bay Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.
Mr. Lowery is preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Pelina Lowery and a brother, Wendell Lowery.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Lowery; son, Vandy Lowery; grandsons, Adam Lowery (Rikki) and Daniel Lowery (Christen); great grandchildren, Jacob, Jarrod, Josie, Danielle and Amara; brother, Ralph Lowery (Mona); sisters, Bettye Burroughs (Vaughn), Myrtle Morrison (Bud), Inez Hall, Lois Sherill and Amy Lowery; and numerous additional family and friends.
