ALABASTER – The Alabaster City Council will keep a consistent meeting schedule through 2015 after job schedules caused multiple meeting date adjustments in 2014.

During a recent meeting, the council voted unanimously to meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month in 2015. The council began meeting on the second and fourth Mondays of each month in February 2014, but changed the meeting schedule to the first and third Mondays from August to November to accommodate Ward 5 Councilman Russell Bedsole’s work schedule with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

All council meetings will begin at 7 p.m. at Alabaster City Hall at 1953 Municipal Way, and pre-meeting work sessions will begin at 6 p.m. in the council’s conference room at City Hall.

The City Council will meet on the following dates this year: Jan. 12 and Jan. 26, Feb. 9 and Feb. 23, March 9 and March 23, April 13 and April 27, May 11 and May 26 (Tuesday), June 8 and June 22, July 13 and July 27, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24, Sept. 14 and Sept. 28, Oct. 12 and Oct. 26, Nov. 9 and Nov. 23, Dec. 14 and Dec. 28.
