Alna Smith Mathers, age 103, of Montevallo, died Jan. 7. She was a member of Grace Christian Church, and enjoyed farming.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, John F. Mathers; parents, Leander and Ollie Smith; and sister, Marion Del Smith.
She is survived by her cousin, Mary Louise Lockard; two very special friends, Steve Smith and Debbie Sweat; as well as numerous other friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9 at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Bro. Shannon Allen will officiate, and burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.
