Marvin Eugene “Bud” Hancock, age 94, of Calera, died Monday, Jan. 12.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 16 at Shelby Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 16 at Bolton Funeral Home – Shelby Memory Gardens.
Mr. Hancock was a lifetime member of the Calera Masonic Lodge – 445. He also served during World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Mr. Hancock is preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Lou Hancock and a son, James R. Little.
He is survived by his sons, Roy E. Hancock (Diane) and Marvin L. Hancock (Sandy); daughter, Mary A. Webb; nine grandchildren; sister, Betty Jean Hancock; and numerous additional family and friends.
