HELENA–Helena Elementary School is inviting anyone to join them on Saturday, Feb. 28, for their 11th Annual Pancake Day in the school cafeteria.

The breakfast will take place from 7 a.m. to noon and is sponsored by the Helena Elementary School PTO, the Kiwanis Club of Helena, local Kiwanis Key Clubs and Boy Scout Troop 2.

Tickets cost $5 per person and people attending will receive pancakes with butter and syrup, crisp bacon and their choice of orange juice or coffee.

Anyone who buys a Pancake Day ticket before the day of the event will benefit the PTO, as 100 percent of the proceeds will go towards the school. This is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Kiwanis Club as well.

There will be workers with assigned roles who will do things such as assisting on the serving lines to make things go smoother.

Helena Elementary School Principal Mary Cooper has been in her position since 2001 and enjoys the Pancake Day every year.

“My favorite thing is having the community here and seeing all the former students return,” said Cooper.

Anyone wishing to attend may purchase a ticket before the event or at the door on Feb. 28.
