The HIS Relay for Life team consists of faculty and staff members who will sell the “Give Cancer the Boot” themed T-shirts through April 17.

The “Give Cancer the Boot” will be the theme at the April 24 Relay for Life walk and some of the activities will feature line dancing, lassos and other western themes.

Michelle Abernathy, gifted resource specialist at HIS, said this is the biggest fundraiser of the year that the school does in preparation for Relay for Life.

“This will be fifth year we have done the fundraiser and this year we have biggest team ever,” said Abernathy. “We use this event to build camaraderie with faculty and its very important to us to dedicate the time and effort to this cause.”

The T-shirts will cost $15 and the shirts were designed to reflect the “Give Cancer the Boot” theme.

The shirts will be available in Carolina blue and chocolate with a boot design on the back.

The shirts are available in all adult and youth sizes. Cash or check will be accepted as forms of payment. Please make checks payable to HIS.
