MONTEVALLO–The third annual Electronics Recycling Day hosted by the Montevallo Chamber, UM Environmental Clun and Technical Knock Out will be Saturday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will be held at the Montevallo Recycling Center on 1120 Overland Road.

This is a free event to the public and the following items can be recycled for free: Any metal, all electronics including computer components, keyboards/mice, cables/wiring, power supplies, printers/fax machines, copiers/scanners, telephones/cell phones, print cartridges, media/tapes/CDs, battery back-ups, microwaves, washers/dryers, dishwashers, blenders/coffee pots, vacuum cleaners, stereos/speakers, VCRs/radios, irons/hair dryers/curling irons, lamps, fans and cordless tools/rechargeable batteries.

TVs will not be accepted.

All recycling is free except secure hard drive destruction, which costs $10 for each hard drive destroyed and monitors will be accepted for $7 each.
