Nellie Ruth McDaniel, age 89, of Shelby, passed away at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. McDaniel is preceded by her husband, Louis McDaniel, Jr.; her mother, father and two sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney McDaniel (Linda) and Dale McDaniel; daughters, Deborah McDaniel, Gale Steverson (Charles), and Carrie Pearson (Billy Joe); eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Nellie Ruth has requested that donations be made to Camp Wheeze Away in Montgomery.
