Spring Break is fast approaching! If you don’t have plans to be out of town, then come visit us at Oak Mountain State Park.

We have so many attractions to keep the whole family entertained.

Make a day of it or stay here in our relaxing campground or the cozy cabins.

What can you do at Oak Mountain State Park? There are plenty of options. If you want to enjoy the water and stay dry, take a ride on one of our pedal boats, canoes or kayaks at the Marina or if you think the water is warm enough, try a stand-up Paddleboard.

Not your type of activity? That’s OK; we have the Stables that offer guided horseback rides on the tranquil trails. If you’ve never been on a horse, don’t worry; the horses know what to do.

Still not what you want? Take a walk along the Treetop Nature Trail to see birds of prey that have been injured and rehabilitated but are still non-releasable to the wild. From here you can walk up a short trail to the Alabama Wildlife Center and the Oak Mountain Interpretive Center to learn about native animals and what makes this area so unique.

Hike down to Peavine Falls or take a walk around the peaceful lake.

Grab some lunch at the Oak Mountain Grill to take with you and have a picnic at one of our several picnic areas.

Would you rather hit a golf ball or cast a line to see what you can catch? We have those activities available as well.

Play a round on our 18-hole golf course “The Oaks.” “The Oaks” offers clubs for rent in the Pro Shop, a driving range and championship play.

Fish from one of our three large lakes where you can find bass, bream and catfish. Bait can be bought at the Back Gate located just off of Highway 119.

Want something on two wheels? Check out our many miles of mountain biking trails or hit up the Oak

Mountain BMX Track & Pump Track.

There is literally something for everyone.
