Briarwood girls win Shelby County Championship

COLUMBIANA – The Briarwood tennis Lady Lions continued their mid-season success with a win at the Shelby County Championship on March 18.

Both the singles and doubles matches saw a number of Briarwood girls win their respective courts. Ashley Ochsenhirt won the singles championship on the first court, Judd Tarrence won the second court, Aston Henderson won the third court, Frannie Ware won the fifth court and Callie Ware won the sixth court.

Tarrence and Ochsenhirt joined forces and won the doubles championship on the first court while Henderson and Frannie Ware won the second court and Kateleigh Calloway and Katelyn Bussey combined to snag the third court doubles championship en route to the Lady Lions’ overall win.
