The Thompson Lady Warriors took the field again after an 11-day hiatus from the pitch in a cross-county matchup with Helena on April 7. Helena is in the midst of its first season, and the Lady Huskies are still trying to find their identity. The older, more seasoned Lady Warriors took care of business against Helena and won the contest by a final score of 10-0.

Just 24 hours after the Helena game wrapped up, the Lady Warriors took the field again against a Bob Jones squad that came into the game with a 10-5-1 record. The result was the same as the previous night, as Thompson won the contest 4-0.

Mariah Poe had a hat trick on the night, with assists from Peyton Poe, Kelly Wanhatalo and Britney Yoder.

Megan Cottingham assisted Yoder on Thompson’s final goal.

Thompson advanced to 16-4-0 with the win and currently is ranked sixth in class 7A by Eurosportscoreboard.com. The Lady Warriors will wrap up the regular season with an April 18 showdown with Huntsville, who Thompson defeated earlier in the year via a 2-0 decision. After the Huntsville game, the Lady Warriors will turn their attention to the 7A state finals.
