“Mama Mac” will be greatly missed by her family, her church, her community and her friends. She was renowned for her sweet nature, kind ways, love of animals, chicken casserole, chocolate pie and her one of a kind potato salad! She grew up in Westover and moved to Birmingham as a young bride. In Birmingham, she reared her children and together with her husband provided a warm, safe home for them. She worked for many years at the Jefferson County Cosmetology Board. In 1989, she and George retired to Westover to be in the rural area that they both loved.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Adelle McManus and her beloved husband of almost 60 years, George.
She is survived by her two sons, Reid McKinnon (Cynthia), and Barry McKinnon (Martha); grandchildren, Amy Landers (Jim), Russell McKinnon (Leigh), Grace, Rachel, Matthew, and Mallory; great-grandchildren, Jada, Jordan, Hadley, and Jackson; and a host of other family and friends.
