Gwen Swann Parsons

Gwen Swann Parsons, age 93, of Montevallo, went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 10 at the Bibb County Medical Center.
Gwen was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rusty Parsons; two sons, Don and Gary Parsons; two sisters, Vera Harper and Eva Swint; and one brother, J. D. Swann.
She is survived by her son, Russ (Craig) Parsons; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Gwen was a member of Montevallo First Baptist Church and was active in their Silver Club. She was an active member of the Pea Ridge Senior Citizens Club and its Treasurer for twenty years. She was also an active member of the Shelby County RSVP.
There will be a visitation for Gwen on Wednesday, April 15 from 10-11 a.m. and her funeral service at 11 a.m. at Montevallo First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge. Services will be officiated by Dr. Terry Sutton.
