HELENA–Members of the Helena Teen Council recently worked on their last project of the year as members of the 2014-2015 council and the project involved landscape work at Helena High School.

The council members took time out of their schedules on Sunday, May 3 to plant shrubbery and flowers at the front of Helena High School.

The council coordinated the planting with the Helena Beautification Board and the Beautification Board donated Knock Out Roses to the project.

Plants were also donated by Council President and Helena Councilwoman Cris Nelson.

While the teens worked hard to upgrade the exterior of the high school, Scozzaro Law Firm donated water and pizza to the group after the landscaping work was complete.

The Helena Teen Council members also recently visited the state capital where they saw some of the inner workings of government and were introduced to some important members of Alabama government.
