William “Bill” “Butterbean” Frank Bean

William “Bill” “Butterbean” Frank Bean, 91 of Shelby, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters. 
Bill was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Marine Corp in the South Pacific, Oct. 14, 1942-Nov. 12, 1945, and then transferred to the Marine Reserves until Nov. 24, 1947. He retired from U. S. Steel after 42 years of employment, he also loved to garden and was an avid Auburn fan.
His survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years, Edna Earl Rice Bean “Dinky”; son, William Earl Bean (Rhonda); daughters, Vonda Bean Schrader (Bobby); and Patricia Boykin Cox; grandchildren, William Eric Bean (Shelina), Jason Earl Bean (Dana), Paige Seale (Michael) and Bo Boykin (Rachel); great grandchildren, William Colt Bean, Eric Ruger  Bean, Paisley Barrow and Alyssa Seale; and a host of nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family service at a later date.
