PELHAM–State and local officials enjoyed a southern style breakfast with Shelby County School counselors at the Pelham Cracker Barrel on Monday, May 18.

The devoted leaders were recognized for the public service given for our state’s progression.

Dignitaries in attendance were Rep. Arnold Mooney, Rep. Matt Fridy, Board of Education members Peg Hill and Jane Hampton, Board of Education President Aubrey Miller and Board of Education Secretary Betty Jo Phillips.

Also in attendance as honorees were Shelby County School officials Dr. Lynn Cook, Dr. Lewis Brooks, Jim Miller, Tom Ferguson, Rickey Darby and Dana Martin.

Chief Deputy Chris George finalized the list of the honored Shelby County stakeholders in attendance.

Shelby County counselors took this opportunity to share the work that they are doing to support their students and families and to collaborate on how they can strengthen their partnerships with stakeholders to further benefit their students.
