MT LAUREL—Pick up some of the season’s freshest produce at the Mt Laurel Farm’s farm stand. New this year, the stand features organic and locally grown produce brought straight from the farm each Thursday.

“I really like it because it’s quick, convenient and it’s right out of the ground,” EBSCO Development Company Marketing and Community Relations Manager Julianna Vance said.

The farm stand will be set up in front of the Mt Laurel Sales Center on Mt Laurel Avenue every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The stand will feature a variety of produce fresh-picked that morning.

“I just picked it this morning,” Keith Caton, farmer at Mt Laurel farms, said. “I grow everything organically.”

Right now, the farm stand features fresh kale, chard, salad mix, carrots, onions and sunflowers. However, the offerings will change based on what is in season.

“You’ll see some things added in,” Caton said, noting cucumbers, squash and tomatoes will be harvested later in the summer.

Stop by the stand to pick up a bag of arugula and salad mix for $5, a bunch of kale for $3 or a sunflower for $1. Each week, the farm stand’s selection of produce will be posted on Mt Laurel’s Facebook page.

“It’s really an old fashioned farm, but it’s grown right (and) organically,” Vance said.
