CHELSEA – Chelsea Church of God has released a lineup of its summer events for the entire family.

The church will hold a hymnal singing on June 14 at 6 p.m.

The event is free and open to the community. Children and adults are welcome to attend.

“We did this event last year in our summer events, too,” Chelsea Church of God Pastor Michael Kiker said. “It will be an evening of music.”

Kiker said hymns will include “old favorites” such as “When We All Get to Heaven” and “I’ll Fly Away.”

“Part of the heritage of the church is to sing old hymns,” Kiker said. “All hymns are based off of scriptural reference. It’s important that your children and grandchildren remember those hymns.”

On June 28, the church will hold another hymn-related music event, called Church at the Coffee House.

The church is inviting the community to come to the Chelsea Coffee House at 6 p.m. for an evening of live music by a local band called The Crymnals.

“They’re a favorite there at the coffee house,” Kiker said of the band. “They play quite a bit there.”

All ages are welcome at the free event. The coffee house will sell refreshments.

Other upcoming events at Chelsea Church of God include the following:
•Restart 2015, July 11 at 6 p.m. This is a free, youth-sponsored event for the community at the church. An outdoor worship experience, sponsored by Revocation Radio, features hip hop artist Young Hen, Tayllor Hanson, Rescued Worship and more.
•Park Night, July 19 at 6 p.m. This is a free event for the community and will include a game of softball at Chelsea Recreational Park. Hotdogs, chips and watermelon will be provided.
•Super Saturday, Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a free event that will feature blowup games and other activities for children. Snacks will be provided.
•Sportsman Dinner, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. The church will host a Sportsman Dinner, with a meal and an inspirational speaker. Ticket purchasing details will be available at ChelseaSummerFun.com.
